Matchroom in the Community
Kensington, NSW
With Matchroom Boxing, we hosted George Kambosos Jr., Eddie Hearn, Skye Nicolson and Cherneka Johnson at Legends Gym to inspire young boxers.
In March 2025, Matchroom in the Community and Legends Life Foundation joined forces to host a special event at Legends Gym in Kensington, Sydney, the very gym where former Undisputed World Champion George Kambosos Jr. began his boxing journey. Kambosos Jr., Matchroom Chairman Eddie Hearn, WBC Women's World Featherweight Champion Skye Nicolson and WBA Bantamweight Champion Cherneka Johnson held a Q&A with local young people, sharing their stories about the discipline, resilience and opportunities boxing can bring, inside and outside the ring. Kambosos Jr. also surprised everyone by personally donating $2,000 to support Legends Life Foundation's work. As he said on the day: "The youth are the future."
